I welcome clients 18 and older seeking help with a life transition or to change personal or relationship patterns that no longer work. I obtain a comprehensive view of your concerns and life circumstances to arrive at a clear understanding of your goals. I use individual, couples, and/or group counseling based in mindfulness and cognitive-behavioral therapy skills to assist you to the outcome you desire. My clients tell me I listen effectively and that I offer meaningful feedback. I truly enjoy my work and utilize a strength-based approach with my clients.
My professional interest and ongoing education focuses on teaching clients how mindfulness can bring an open and non-judgmental curiosity to understanding themselves. I help clients understand the basic links between their feelings, thoughts, and behaviors. I challenge clients to “try one thing different this week.”
I believe the goal of therapy is to return clients to happy and fulfilling lives as soon as possible. Ideally, having had a trusting therapeutic relationship, clients feel they can return at any time in the future, if necessary, to get further support or learn new life skills.
